Alex is originally from Birmingham and obtained a Chemistry Degree (MChem) from the University of Manchester. She is now working on a PhD in Nanoporous Composite Membranes for Carbon Dioxide Capture under the supervision of Martin Attfield and Peter Budd. Alex enjoys playing the clarinet and helping out with Girl Guiding Manchester.
