PhD Student

Ketan is a PhD student working on a joint project with Roy Goodacre and Mike Anderson. His project is to develop mesoporous materials as a more reproducible and robust ionisation approach for MALDI-MS of metabolites and proteins. As these substrates themselves are not desorbed and ionized there will be no matrix interference in the MS spectra, this will allow for more robust proteome analysis and open up the low molecular weight end of the MS spectrum so that metabolites can be analysed.
