PhD Student

Alexander graduated with a chemistry (MChem) degree from the University of Bath in 2021. His final year project was under the supervision of Prof Paul Raithby and involved using the Cambridge Structural Database to quantify structural trends in lanthanide complexes. Now studying for a PhD, Alexander's project is concerned with modelling crystal growth and predicting crystal habit/morphology. The project is in conjunction with the chemical company BASF and is under the supervision of Prof Mike Anderson and Dr Martin Attfield. Outside of his studies, Alexander enjoys reading, cooking, and playing the guitar. He is also a keen runner, having recently completed his 50th Parkrun, and is a member of Ramsbottom Running Club.
